WORK EXPERIENCE
• At least two years of experience in mental health field and/or experience working with adults with chronic mental illnesses preferred
• Must have an automobile, a valid Missouri Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record and current automobile insurance with required coverage limits
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Missouri is preferred

Clinical Assessor
Compensation: $26.81/hourly
The Clinical Assessor is responsible for completing all annual mental health assessments for clients served by Adapt. This position could require transporting client in personal automobile. This position requires participation in 24-hour on call crisis intervention activities on a rotating basis. When needed, the Community Support Assessor may be assigned to assist with the admission and intake process.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
- Administers assessment tools to incoming and current clients
- Conducts mental health diagnostic assessments to determine appropriate diagnosis of client and ensure eligibility for CPRC services
- Conducts face-to-face clinical interviews with clients, reviews records, and gathers information from the assigned CSS to complete annual Mental Health Assessments (MHA’s)
- Assesses clients’ level of risks, strengths, and weaknesses and interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate clients’ preparedness for independent living
- Assesses clients’ adjustment to community living
- Completes Mental Health Assessments by deadline
- Uses appropriate assessment tools to assess correct level of care for clients
- Completes Individualized Recovery Plans through coordination and communication with treatment team
- Utilizes feedback and recommendations from Program Director and Psychiatrist Consultants to improve quality of clinical documentation
- Participates in Clinical Review Process
- Provides feedback to treatment team, including Program Director and Health Care Home Director regarding recommended need for staffing
- Coordinates and communicates with treatment team the completion of the DLA-20 as well as timely communication regarding potential goals and objectives
- Encourages medication compliance and provides education regarding medications and possible side effects
- Encourages and promotes recovery efforts, client independence/self-care and responsibility
- Performs job duties with an efficient use of time as well as completing required assessments based on budget parameters
- Participates in the on-call phone rotation addressing crisis calls after hours
- Performs other duties as assigned
