Job Requirements of Transporter:
- High School/GED preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors required
- At least one-year experience in customer service or mental health-related field preferred
- Experience with management of transportation programspreferred
- Excellent communication skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferred
- A valid Class E driver’s license upon hire and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
- Must have a valid Class E Missouri driver’s license upon hire

Do you meet the requirements for this job?
Transporter
Compensation: $17.50/Hr.
The Transporter is responsible for the transportation of consumers.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Position also requires assistance with weekly cooking and cleaning as part of this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drives within posted speed limits with passengers in their seatbelts while vehicle is in motion
- Obeys safety regulations and traffic laws
- Requires working in a team environment
- Attends 20 or more hours of continuing education per year, passes initial/annual physical, and passes required classes such as CALM and CPR
- Reports and schedules any vehicle maintenance needs
- Reports any emergency breakdowns or accidents per company policy
- Completes vehicle inspection logs
- May provide support with conflict resolution and support members when crises arise
- Communicates any updates regarding members with supervisor and other staff
- Transport Compass Health patients
- Plan efficient pick up and drop off routes to maximize efficiency
- Maintain professional, and respectful communication with customers, public and other staff
- Follow event report and patient complaints policy and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Guidelines
- Obey safety regulations and traffic laws
- Respect person’s served confidentiality and interact in a professional manner
- Report any emergency breakdown or accident as required to transportation manager
- Follow agency van usage guidelines
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK
- Regular exposure to fumes and/or gases
- Operating vehicles or machinery
