Community Engagement Assistant

Compass Health Network St. Peters, MO (Onsite) Full-Time

Compensation: $15.45/hourly

The purpose of this position is to assist in planning, coordination and facilitation of community engagement activities of all Compass Health agencies to increase charitable funding and positive visibility, in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of Compass Health agencies.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, some weekend and after-hours are required for events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

  • Assist the Director of Community Engagement in working with Area VP’s regarding the logistics, planning, committee management, implementation and follow up for all agency community engagement events and activities. Examples of events include golf tournaments, 5K runs, mouse races, and related brand awareness and advocacy events
  • Responsible for the accounting of financials within Community Engagement events including income, expenses and preparing deposits
  • Update and maintain the event database including donor information, gifts and event details
  • Prepare and process bulk mailings
  • Provide public relations assistance, including social media and community calendars, as needed
  • Attend all event meetings and keep track of the minutes
  • Maintain Donor Management Software; tracking donations and online registrations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to recognize urgent deadlines and work under pressure within tight timelines
  • Team facilitation
  • Ability to maintain professionalism even in difficult situations
  • Ability to take accountability and display honesty, responsibility, trustworthiness and integrity
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of co-workers and donors
  • Ability to focus, multi-task, organize, delegate and prioritize workload
  • Willingness and desire to learn new skills and take on new projects
  • Ability to communicate in professional manner verbally and in written documentation
  • Assist with other agency events as approved by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • High School/GED required

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with event planning preferred
  • High level of MS Office applications preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed, for events required
