Compensation: $38.06 hrly-$45.06 hrly dependent on license

The Director of Behavioral Health Crisis Center will oversee one of the five Behavioral Health Crisis Centers (BHCC’s) located in the Compass Heath Network catchment (Rolla, Wentzville, Jefferson City, Raymore, Festus). This Director will work at the local BHCC to implement program development, facilitate community outreach, develop/build relationships with identified stakeholders, and provide clinical and logistical oversight to staff at the local BHCC, as well as ensure quality of services are being delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
• Oversee one of the five Behavioral Health Crisis Centers (BHCC), staff and clinical responsiveness
o Execute local BHCC workflow and re-evaluate as needed based on community need
o Collect data for internal and state reporting and monitor for any patterns and adjust accordingly
o Send data to Sr Director of Crisis Stabilization, as assigned
o Assist with hiring staff, as needed
o Focus on areas of possible expansion at the local BHCC
• Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with external agencies/entities/partners and contractual as appropriate to assigned programs and duties
• Identify and leverage existing resources within the state to manage throughput and discharge from crisis centers
• Partner with fellow regional crisis center directors to work through common barriers, share successes and assist one another, as appropriate
• Ensure creation and sustainment of community stakeholder meeting to aid in feedback, updates and staffing as needed
• Monitor staff quality indicators (when applicable), patterns of care, length of stay in program, appropriate aftercare response and treatment recommendations
• Coordinate with other agencies and internal programs to facilitate whole person care and a coordinated treatment team response
• Responsible for ensuring a clinically effective 24-hour crisis access is available for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis and provide a diversion from jail and/or hospital
• Conduct regular external and internal meetings for overall communication, workflow and clinical consultation. Meetings may include optional/mandatory trainings as needed
• Attend internal and external meetings related to Crisis Stabilization Centers, as assigned
• Hours of work may vary given the need to assist in ensuring that access to care is available 24/7, especially initially due to each center being new. Will need to be available by phone for back up to staff should they need consultative assistance as well.
• Manage schedule and staffing at location
• Travel includes in-state travel for program oversight and occasional trainings
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, quality and any peer review issues
o This includes prior to a planned employee departure to assist with smooth transition of job duties
• Other duties as assigned

Operating vehicles or machinery

 

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in nursing or a human service field required

• At least four (4) years experience in a human service or nursing field required
• Experience in human service/nursing management required
• A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required

• PLPC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW or RN preferred but not required
