Job Requirements of Pharmacist:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (Rph) required
- Doctorate in pharmacy (Pharm.D) preferred
- Must have graduated from an accredited college of pharmacy
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least two (2) years experience preferred
- Experience in both inpatient and retail pharmacy preferred
- Knowledge of mail order processes preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
- Licensed Pharmacist issued by the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy required
- Must maintain education credits for applicable certification requirements

Pharmacist
Compensation:
Compass Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for our clinic in Festus, Missouri. This is fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist in a multi-disciplinary clinic setting. Ideal candidate will be both detail oriented and passionate about patient care.
This is a PRN position. No nights, no weekends – Monday through Friday schedule.

.The Staff Pharmacist will maintain records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for filling prescriptions for Compass Health outpatients as well as hospital inpatients admitted to Royal Oaks Hospital.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
- Supervises pharmacy employees; may supervise business support, technical or production staff
- Has accountability for managing financial resources
- Applies expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own area
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of all prescription transactions, and submits appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement
- Consults with prescribers and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions
- Responsible for all mail order processes
- Monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals
- Purchases and inventories control of pharmaceuticals
- Reviews third party adjudications and reconciliations to assure maximum reimbursement rates
- Needs to be computer efficient, strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills
- Works with hospital staff to meet inpatient pharmacy needs
- Reviews/approves and enters orders submitted from the hospital
- Partners with marketing/public relations to increase/maintain consumer use of pharmacy
- Other duties as assigned
