Job Requirements of Direct Support Professional Supervisor-Addiction Recovery:

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A valid unrestricted driver’s license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver’s licensed by the end of 60-day introductory period required.

Direct Support Professional Supervisor-Addiction Recovery
Compensation: $21.48/hr
The Direct Support Professional Supervisor is responsible for supervision of consumers to ensure their safety and well-being. They are also responsible for supervision of Addiction Recovery Technicians.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is typically Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, some weekends and overnights are required when coverage is needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC:
• Performs all the essential function of a substance abuse technician as defined in the technician job description
• Performs supervision of technician responsibilities on an ongoing, full-time basis including:
o -posts open positions and works with Recruitment Manager to fill all available openings
o -develops and oversees training and development of technician staff
o -ensures technicians perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures and implements documentation
o -complete technicians work schedules and reviews time sheets
o -facilitates monthly technician meetings to disseminate information and conduct in-service trainings
o -assists director to conduct annual reviews of technician staff
• Serves as liaison between clinical staff and technician staff to facilitate communication and coordination of treatment efforts
• Coordinates with program in development and oversight of admission tracking system
• Prepares written correspondence related to admission process
• Reviews technician staff documentation for accuracy
• Maintains unit files: shift logs, group logs, admission tracking, monthly drills, and other documentation maintained on an ongoing basis. In the absence of program director and counselor staff, maintains quality and continuity of services and manages staff operations to include, but not limited to, the following:
o oversees day to day operations of unit
o ensures safety and security of consumers and staff
o provides clinical guidance on all consumer treatment issues
o coordinates with probation and parole and other outpatient agencies on consumers issues related to the promotion of treatment and recovery"
• Assist client(s) with transportation as clinically indicated. Driving is an essential function of the position
• Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Oversees day-to-day operations and tasks of supervisees
• Completes performance development/AIM process
• Timecard management – manages time sheets
• Ensures progress and development is made toward departmental strategic plan goals
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK:
• Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
• Regular exposure to biohazard waste materials
• Operating vehicles or machinery
