Regional Nurse Director

Compass Health Network Jefferson City, MO (Onsite) Full-Time

Compensation: $84,156.80 Annually

The Regional Nurse Director is responsible for the effective operation of the Medication clinics in the region assigned. This role supervises outpatient nursing staff and provides program oversight and development for the nursing function in various sites throughout the assigned region. The roles also works in conjunction with Residential Directors to provide nursing supervision and guidance.

This is a full-time position. Travel is required for oversight to nearby offices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

  • Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to office nurses and consultation to residential nurses, ACT-ACTAY nurses when requested by Program Directors
  • Collaborates with Nursing Administration and Human Resources to sufficiently staff Behavioral Health Clinics based on budgeted full-time equivalents
  • Represents Nursing Behavioral Health in assigned meetings
  • Collaborates with other program leaders to coordinate care within the Compass Setting
  • Plan, organize and coordinate medication clinics
  • Perform venipunctures, urinalysis, waived testing, and other procedures
  • Ensure the proper storage and administration of medications (including injections) in accordance with the Medication Dispensation, Sample, and Patient Assistance Program Policies
  • Provides resources for patient education and instruction
  • Screens telephone callers for appropriate referral/triage
  • Maintain patients’ files, records, and other information
  • Adheres to standard precautions, as appropriate, i.e., use protective barriers, handle, and dispose of infectious waste appropriately, proper handwashing
  • Follow CLIA and OSHA regulations
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of unit facilities and equipment
  • Monitor supply of laboratory stock and medical supplies, ensure supplies are ordered when necessary
  • Serve as medical/nursing consultant to clinical services staff and persons served
  • Assist in keeping quality & regulatory data records up to date
  • Maintains BLS Certification & Instructor Certification
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

  • Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
  • Regular exposure to biohazard and/or chemical waste materials

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in nursing required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one (1) year of management experience preferred
  • Experience in mental health preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

  • Registered Nurse, licensed in Missouri required
