Job Requirements of Provider Trainer:
QUALIFICATION(S): EDUCATION
High School/GED degree required
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ experience using electronic health records or similar documentation tool, clinical setting processes, or training required
- A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Dental Assistant Certification, Medical Assistant Certification, or LPN required

Provider Trainer
Compensation: $22.98/hourly MA; $29.37/hourly LPN
The Provider Trainer standardizes new employee training for providers including but not limited to physicians, advanced practice providers, and dentists. The position ensures all training requirements are met as required by Compass Health Network, OSHA, and to comply with MO professional rules and regulations across the following departments: behavioral health, primary care, and dental.
This is a Full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidate will be required to travel based on Provider needs.
Essential Functions include:
- Oversees and/or facilitates new employee onboarding training for all providers in relation to IT use, software programs, Quality Measures, SharePoint utilization, Health Information Exchange, etc
- Perform new employee training on Electronic Health Records (EHR) to follow professional standards of note writing and requirements in relation to billing and coding
- Continued EHR proficiency across multiple platforms to assist providers when necessary
- Participate in EHR specific meetings as scheduled and participate in departmental provider meetings to assist in improvement of provider efficiency
- Ensure annual training requirements are met, meetings are scheduled, and staff complete timely
- Responsible for ensuring all skills competencies are completed and up to date
- Oversee OSHA training for new employees and yearly for all provider staff in collaboration with operational leadership
- Provide mock OSHA inspections at all locations as required and in collaboration with operational leadership
- Participates in Compass Compliance Committees as directed
- Leads/participates in special projects as directed by Chief Medical Officer
