Data Reporting and Solutions Engineer

Compass Health Network USA (Remote) Full-Time

Compensation:

The Data Reporting and Solutions Engineer creates, designs, develops, and runs database reports based on end-user needs. They will be responsible for the design and creation of efficient automated solutions for end-users. They will create reports and visualizations that allow end-users to evaluate and interpret data effectively. They will work closely with other members of the Data Management Team regarding the design of the Data Warehouse, related to data structure, validation, and integrity of data related to reporting purposes. They will be responsible for working with the Data Management and Operations Teams to create and maintain baseline business and executive reporting tools.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. *Remote position, open to Missouri residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Meet with Department/Organizational Leaders/Delegates to design Data Solutions for Operational and Reporting Needs
• Identify datasets, read/write queries and modify existing reports/visualizations, testing, validating, and enhancing as necessary
• Responsible for generating daily, weekly, and monthly management reports/visualizations within various solutions (i.e. Excel, Power BI, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables
• Assign and track requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc. and report status to Senior Director of Data Reporting
• Utilize complex queries using- Dax, Power Query, SQL, Python, R, C#, and other programming languages with multiple databases, data warehouses, etc.
• Responsible for development, maintenance, and optimizing SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, functions, indexes, triggers, etc. and assisting others working in this scope
• Assists with defining data models and developing data structure for reporting purposes
• Designing and developing new data reports/visualizations for ad hoc needs
• Collaborate with the EHR and Data Team members to determine where efficiencies might be gained with use of software programing
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets
• Create and implement solutions to increase data integrity, collection and reporting
• Assist the Senior Director of Data Reporting and other Data Management members in data reporting projects as needed
• Assist with the development and implementation of quality controls
• Responsible for building dashboards and performance metrics to support organizational needs
• Meet with department stakeholders to discuss reporting needs
• Understands and follows data governance policies and procedures
• All other duties assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 5 (five) years’ experience required using:
o SQL and other programming languages to query complex relational databases and validate reporting results
o Various computer software and EHR applications
o Power BI, (Tableau or other visualization solutions would be considered)
o Programming Languages- Python, C#, R- for scripting, automation, or integration. DAX, Power Query (M)- for developing efficient Power BI reports and data transformation
o ETL Development-building and optimizing ETL Pipelines
o Databricks- required for data processing and reporting pipeline development
o Collaboration- experience working with business stake holders to define BI/DW solutions
o Scalability- exposure to large data set processing
• Preferred experience using:
o Architectural Exposure to Data Modeling and Warehousing Concepts (familiarity with performance optimization, schema design, and data integration strategies)
o Experience working with Azure database technologies
