Maintenance Technician III

Compass Health Network Wentzville, MO (Onsite) Full-Time

Compensation: $22.98/hr

The Maintenance Technician III oversees the ongoing maintenance functions of specified facility or facilities’ physical plants, equipment and grounds in order to provide a safe and clean environment that meets the standards of all applicable regulatory authorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Conduct regular training with in-house staff on department-related material
• Participate in regular departmental and committee meetings as assigned
• Complete work orders that require higher skill levels
• Assist with in-house construction projects
• Enter data into computerized work order management system
• Keep tools maintained and inventoried
• Work with minimal supervision and with multiple types of tools to complete assigned tasks
• Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the company and the department

WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK

• Regular exposure to electrical hazards
• Exposure to biohazard and/or chemical waste materials
• Operating vehicles or machinery

Job Requirements:

• High School/GED required
• Associates degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least five (5) years’ experience in an institutional or healthcare maintenance position preferred
• Advanced skill-level in at least two (2) trades preferred
• Working knowledge of building blueprints preferred
• Working knowledge of NFPA National Building Codes, National Fire Codes, and Building Codes preferred
• Working knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare/Medicaid and OSHA requirements regarding safety and equipment preferred
• The ability to juggle multiple projects on multiple sites, collaborate with multiple disciples and coordinate with multiple vendors and contractors preferred
• A valid driver’s license at the time of hire required
