Compensation

Compass Health is seeking applications for a Management Analysis Specialist II. This position will work collaboratively with Department of Mental Health’s - Division of Behavioral Health (DMH-DBH).  The selected candidate’s office will be at DMH Central Office in Jefferson City.

This position is a term-limited, full-time position under the State Opioid Response grant (SOR). The grant covers the timeframe 9/30/2018 thru 9/29/2020; however, reapplication must be made every federal fiscal year. Employment after 9/29/19 is contingent on future awards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary job responsibilities for this position include tracking, monitoring, and analyzing the SOR grant expenditures to make sure expenditure are allowable under Federal and State guidelines. 

This includes, but not limited to:

  • Developing SQL queries to collect and analyze facts from the Department’s data warehouse concerning billing and outcome patterns;
  • Interpreting this information into meaningful reports for management decision making;
  • Participating in the development of improved procedures and controls;
  • Tracking grant expenditures and ensuring that spending is appropriate for project period;
  • Ensuring all payments are allowable under the SOR grant, and if not, will need to determine what action will need to be taken to prevent or recoup any unallowable expenditures;
  • Monitoring individual grant projects to ensure they do not exceed their approved budget;
  • Formulates recommendations for improved organizational structure, policies, techniques, methods, systems, and procedures designed to help achieve the goals of the organization and the objectives of its programs; and
  • Performs other related work duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Business or Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related field; AND,

Two or more years of professional experience analyzing operations and developing improved managerial procedures and practices.

(24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in the specified fields may substitute for one year of the stated experience.)

(A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the specified fields may substitute for the stated experience.)

(Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the stated college education.)
