Compensation: $17.50 hourly

Compass Health Network has a great opportunity for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our inpatient/ outpatient substance use treatment facility. Individuals within this role will oversee clients’ safety and well-being, using Compass Champion Behavior. These individuals must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

This is a PRN position. Candidate must be flexible to work various shifts on the evenings, overnights and weekends. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Provide group education
• Transport consumers as necessary
• Log new medications and store appropriately on unit
• Observe self-administration of medicine on unit
• Assist with orientation of new consumers
• Complete paper and electronic documentation within required time frames
• Attend staff meetings and technician trainings
• Conduct disaster drill on each shift
• Supervise/monitor consumers
• Collect and process urine drug screens
• Ensure safety of consumers by appropriately responding to crisis situations as they occur
• Observe Unit Manual Policies and maintain high standards of professional behavior
• Assist client(s) with transportation as clinically indicated. Driving is an essential function of the position
• Other duties as assigned

On-site training provided.

 

Job Requirements

High School/GED preferred

A valid unrestricted driver’s license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver’s licensed by the end of 60-day introductory period required
