Compensation: $25.10/hr

The Dental Trainer will be responsible for providing education, skill development, and ongoing learning opportunities for Dental employees, in order to support their job performance and career advancement, as well as the organization’s strategic plan. This position will ensure onboarding education and training is completed and documented across Dental.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30pm. Schedule may vary at times depending on program needs. This is a remote position open to Missouri residents only. Travel to various clinics is required, as needed. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC:

• Assist the Director of Dental Training and Development with training and orientation of new employees, coordinating with Senior Directors and Clinical Leads.
• Assist in the delivery of training programs
• Assist as needed with Expedited Didactic Training virtually for Dental Assistants, along with hands on clinical training with clinical leads
• Coordinate and conduct training sessions across the dental department both in person and via web-based systems utilizing a variety of training methodologies and techniques for learning
• Research, learn, implement, and evaluate new techniques in dental training
• Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
• Utilize exceptional organizational skills to monitor, track, and communicate employee progress
• Develop training initiatives, strategies and goals based upon assessment/data analysis, managerial and employee feedback
• Complete and submit documentation associated with departmental training requirements.
• Demonstrate effective employee engagement skills to support training initiatives
• Set the standard and expectations in his/her conduct, work ethic, integrity, and character by modeling the organization’s five guidelines to service excellence and BETTER & BETTER culture
• Monitor employee’s performance in response to training and conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
• Assist in compliance and infection control research as needed
• Travel as needed (up to 30% of the time) to provide training at varying locations
• Special projects as assigned by the Director of Dental Training and Development

 

Job Requirements

High School/GED required

• At least 3-5 years experience as a dental assistant providing clinical support and treatment in a dental setting required
• Experience and efficiency with NextGen software preferred
• A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required

QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certified Dental Assistant preferred, or the ability to obtain upon employment
