Compensation: $85,888.82/annually

The Cyber Security Analyst will safeguard information systems assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems. The Cyber Security Analyst understands Compass Health Networks IT infrastructure in detail and continuously looks for ways to enhance network security and protect sensitive information.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is primarily Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, some nights and weekend availability is required occasionally. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
• Protect Compass Health Network systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
• Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and report violations
• Implement security improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
• Determine security violations and inefficiencies by regularly conducting various audits
• Keep users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status.
• Maintain quality service by following Compass Health Network standards.
• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems, and networks
• Troubleshooting security and network problems
• Responding to all system and/or network security breaches
• Participate in the change management process
• Testing and identifying network and systems vulnerabilities
• Lead IT team in completing annual IT risk assessment
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies/procedures and associated training plans for cyber security resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops, training, certification programs, and continuously reviewing publications
• Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience required

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Three (3) years equivalent work experience preferred
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements
• Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations
• Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions
• Familiarity with the DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program
• Understanding of mobile technology and OS (i.e. Android, iOS, Windows)
• Proficiency with Python or PowerShell
• Excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using firewalls, Citrix, VPN, Office 365 Security, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web security, email security, and endpoint security
• Comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting of networks
• Analytical mind and detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies
• Knowledge of applicable privacy practices and laws
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
• Advanced certification such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific training and certification preferred
• DOD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) completion within 6 months of hire date required
