POSITION PURPOSE:                                    
Expanding educational and vocational opportunities for persons with psychiatric disabilities by providing individualized, community-based and integrated employment and educational supports.                                    
                                    
QUALIFICATIONS:                                    
"Bachelor’s degree in human service related field with at least one year expereince providing employment services or has advanced education that involved field training in vocational services.  
Preferably Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling or related field with training and/or experience in supported employment.  
All experience must include working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities.
Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity."                                    
                                    
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    
1) Directly assist consumers in their home and their community to choose, obtain and maintain competitive employment.  Participates in engagement, vocational assessment, job development, job placement, job coaching and benefits counseling.                                    
2) Identify, cultivate and document community employment opportunities                                    
3) Assist to measure employer and consumer satisfaction on a regular basis.                                    
4) Appropriate documentation and recording within the case record according to policy                                    
5) Assist some consumers in completing or returning to school or a higher education learning opportunity as individuals desire indicates.                                    
6) Assist the team by helping them develop supported employment approaches with consumers in the team, and attending all wellness plan meetings for consumers with employment or educational goals.                                    
7)  Participate in daily team meetings and clinical supervision.                                    
8) Provide services with a flexible schedule and oncall rotation including nighttime, evening and weekend hours.                                    
9) Other duties as assigned                                    
                                    
Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.
