Compensation: $19.00

POSITION PURPOSE

Provide direct class supervision. Generate lesson plans for patients who have not received assignments from their home school. Write behavioral notations in individual patient’s chart at least once a week. Assist Education Coordinator in duties relating to the school as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Demonstrate appropriate written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a positive/supportive learning environment for all patients
• Adjust assignments to commensurate with need and ability
• Encourage task completion and participation in class discussion
• Observe and chart patient's mood, attitude, and classroom productivity
• Report observations and school information to treatment team members
• Provide suggestions/interventions for the home school educators when issuing grades
• Provide current event lessons and participate in mandated observances
• Adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures of the organization
• Remain current on organizational standards such as (but not limited to) CALM, CPR, and Relias learning
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Special Education)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Must be state certified in Education
