POSITION PURPOSE

Provide supportive class supervision. Assist and support Teacher or Education Coordinator in duties relating to the school as requested. Write behavioral notations in individual patient’s chart at least once a week. Assist Education Coordinator in duties relating to the school as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Demonstrate appropriate written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a positive/supportive learning environment for all patients
• Observe and chart patient's mood, attitude, and classroom productivity
• Report observations and school information to treatment team members
• Adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures of the organization
• Abide by HIPAA laws
• Remain current on organizational standards such as (but not limited to) CALM, CPR, and Relias learning
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION(S): EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Associate degree in education preferred
