Job Description

Compensation: $57,865.60 annually

To ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server hardware, software and communication links. This person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Manage servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, their associated operating systems, and software
• Manger security solutions, including anti-virus and patchessecurity updates
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices
• Ensure network connectivity of all workstations
• Administers all equipment, hardware and software upgrades
• Perform server system design and capacity planning
• Conduct research on server products, services, protocols and standards in support of server procurement and development efforts
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers and contractors to secure server products and services
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for server and systems resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery
• Practice server and system's asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Perform system backups and recovery
• Monitor and test server performance and provide server performance statistics and reports
• Recommend, schedule and perform server improvements, upgrades and repairs
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team

Job Requirements

EDUCATION

• Associates degree required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least three years of similar professional experience required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

VMWare, Citrix, or Windows certification preferred
