Compensation: $41,970.24 (Provisional) $52,079.04(Licensed)

This position is based in the Bourbon School District.

 

 

POSITION PURPOSE:                                    
Provide mental health and/or alcohol and drug abuse treatment services within the school setting to students referred for services and with parental/guardian permission.  Provide assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, counseling and referral of students, as appropriate. Provide individual, family, and group therapies.  Provide consultation and psychoeducation, as requested by the school.                                                                       
                                    
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    
1) Upon school referral and with parental/guardian consent, provide initial evaluation and assessment of student.  Make recommendations for treatment and referral, as appropriate.
2) Develop individualized treatment plans, defining plan of services and interventions.  Update treatment plans as appropriate.
3) Provide individual, family and/or group therapy according to student’s treatment needs.  May also provide psychoeducation as requested by the school.
4) Appropriately document all services provided, meeting all applicable documentation guidelines.  Ensure all records will be maintained in a confidential manner, meeting all appropriate HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements.
5) Develop and maintain good working relationship with school personnel.
6) Interface with and coordinate services with school personnel as appropriate.
7) Provide consultation, as requested, to teachers, school counselors or other school personnel.
8) Provide education and outreach activities to school and community as appropriate.
9) Keep records of consumer contacts as specified by accounting and statistical needs of the organization.  Also, maintaining records/logs for outcomes measures, as specified.
10) Maintain productivity expectations, as established.
11) Abide by all professional, certification and ethical standards in the performance of duties.  Maintain current licensure and be in good standing with licensure board.
12) Other duties as assigned                                    
                                    
Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:                                    
Minimum of Master’s degree in human service related field and current provisional or full licensure in the State of Missouri. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
