Job Description

The Regional Housing Coordinator is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

This position can be based out of any location in Compass Health Network's Central Region. 

POSITION PURPOSE:                                    
To coordinate housing services in collaboration with tenants, community partners, and agency programs in order to provide safe, permanent and supportive housing for the vulnerable individuals and families in our service area.                                    
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    

  • Housing Program Management
    • General management of various housing subsidy programs
  • Property Management and Compliance
    • Eviction prevention
    • Management of HUD Software
    • Initial, annual and interim certifications
    • Waitlist management
    • Lease violations
    • Rent collection
    • Monitor the safety of the physical property including work orders
    • Maintaining up-to-date trainings
    • Compliance of the following: Fair Housing Act, HUD-811 PRAC, LIHTC, HOME Funds, MHTF, AHAP, FHLB, HUD-CoC, and other programs as required
  • Tenant Relationships
    • Tenant Engagement: tenant meetings, activities, and education
    • Eviction prevention
    • Developing and supporting tenant leadership roles
  • Community Engagement
    • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders, police, neighbors, local businesses and potential resources
    • Participate in the Continuum of Care meetings
  • Clinical Services Liaison
    • Staff training of all Compass Health housing programs
    • Liaison between staff, client and landlord for housing client
  • Landlord Engagement
    • Annual Landlord engagement or training event
    • Building relationships with community Landlords
    • Maintaining open communication with Landlords
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements


  • High School/GED required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred or at least 4 years of experience in a human services field required if no bachelor's degree is obtained
  • Must have the ability to articulate and operate within the Housing First Model
  • Regularly attends work except for approved absences
  • Attends all training as required
  • Maintains professional, “champion” behavior

  • Works in a way that exhibits a commitment to personal excellence
  • Values diversity and is team oriented                         

Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.
