Job Description

Compensation: $59,865.60 Annually

The Medical Services Supervisor is part of the person centered integrated care team and responsible for supervisory functions related to medical services. This position supervises the Medical Assistants, Patient Care Specialist, Medical Scheduler, and administratively supervises the Nurse Care Manager for Primary Care.


Job responsibilities include:
Health Care Operations:
• Administration and management of program operations; maintain coordination of services and communication among program components.
• Ensure that all licensing and accrediting body standards are followed (i.e. HRSA, DMH, NCQA, CARF, etc.)
• Oversee laboratory functions and ensure CLIA and OSHA standards are followed.
• Oversee Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Applications, sample meds, vaccines, including the VFC program and ensure that documentation of medication-related activities are accurately documented
• Order and maintain storage of necessary medications and medical supplies in accordance with agency policies and procedures including the monitoring of proper refrigeration
• Participate in agency’s Quality Improvement program as assigned including PDSA cycles for process Improvement.
• Keep informed of, and communicate, any changes to Medicare, Medicaid, and any Private Insurance Carriers regarding covered services and pre-authorization processes as they relate to provision of services and quality patient care.
• Ensure that all incidents are documented and reported
• Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team and lead weekly Integrated Care Team meetings.
• Manage staff productivity to maximize performance and efficiency.
• With EVP and Sr. Director of Primary Care Operations ensure that programs are operating within defined budget and take corrective actions as necessary
Staff Management and Development:
• Directly supervise, set priorities for, and support the Nurse Care Manager, Medical Assistants, Medical Scheduler (if applicable) and Patient Care Specialist.
• Complete annual performance reviews
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of Medical Services staff
• Will ensure staff seeks culturally competent services and service providers to meet the unique cultural needs of each agency consumer and family member.
• Ensure that staff members are providing excellent customer service, as trained
Other Responsibilities:
• Represent Crider Health Center in the community,(Franklin or Warren County) and participate in community partnership meetings as needed.
• Regular attendance (except as excused)
• Special projects as assigned
• All other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements



  • Qualifications
    • R. N. and licensed under Chapter 335, RSMO; BSN preferred, or Medical Assistant/LPN
    with equivalent experience in medical office setting
    • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a medical services setting preferred
    • Working knowledge of medical office processes, terminology, procedures and equipment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records

  • Supervision
    The Medical Services Supervisor reports directly to the Sr. Director of Primary Care Operations.
