Compensation: $14.34 Hourly

POSITION PURPOSE:                                    

To provide support services to the assigned facility with regard to maintaining the plant, equipment, offices, residential areas and grounds of multiple facilities in order to provide a safe and operational environment in our Jefferson City and Eldon locations. Must have working knowledge and understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance methods and procedures.                                    
                                    
QUALIFICATIONS:                                    

• Five or more year’s maintenance, carpentry or similar skilled trade experience.
• Have experience in an institutional and/or healthcare related maintenance position.
• A valid drivers license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E Missouri/Class D Louisiana driver’s license by the end of the 60 day introductory period
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Higher Level Education can be substituted for experience.
• Has a commitment to service and personal excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    

1) Requires effective verbal, written and nonverbal communication skills.                                    
2) Possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional ability and maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines and difficult situations.                                    
3) Requires a working knowledge and ability to conduct general building and repair practices and methods.                                     

4) The ability to construct and repair facilities while meeting and maintaining compliance with the local building and fire codes.                                    
5) Requires a working knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements regarding safety and equipment.                                    

6) Requires ability to enter data into computerized work order management system.                    

7) Possess ability to work with minimal supervision and with multiple types of tools to complete assigned tasks.                                     

8) Other duties as assigned.                                    
                                    
A valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.
