Job Description

Compensation: $19.97/ Per Hour

POSITION PURPOSE:

Assist with the research and preparation of grant and contract applications which further the mission of Compass Health, and its’ subsidiaries. Further duties will include the review of grants and contracts prior to their submission, interaction with the development team regarding funding opportunities related to organizational programming, as well as provide assistance with For The Children fundraising activities/events. Additional duties will include the attendance at foundation and community meetings/forums discussing funding opportunities and assistance in the development of press releases for recently awarded grants/contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, or healthcare related field in addition to excellent communication, writing and computer skills with a high level of motivation. Relevant/comparable experience can serve in place of educational requirements. Comprehensive reading skills, demonstrated proficiency in English language and grammar, as well as broad knowledge and experience with computers and Microsoft Office is required. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1) Provide research and support for various funding opportunities for Compass Health and its subsidiaries.
2) Work closely with the Director of Development and other members of the senior management team to research, acquire and develop funding and other opportunities.
3) Represent the organization(s) at State of Missouri pre-proposal meetings and area foundation meetings regarding grant/contract opportunities.
4) Assist in the initial implementation of new programs, as needed, directly related to assurance in meeting grant or contractual requirements.
5) Attend required development staff meetings to provide input on department direction as well as provide update of current work-in-progress.
6) Assists with the preparation and writing of press releases of recently awarded grants and contracts.
7) Provide relevant support to For The Children Foundation.
8) Other duties as assigned.

Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.
