Job Description

The Director of Substance Use-Recovery-Community Engagement can be based out of any Compass Health Network location across the state. 

Oversees all aspects of the Outpatient substance Use treatment programs to ensure that the consumers and family members received quality care, including Adult and Adolescent CSTAR Programming, Level III SUD Services, and Drug and DWI Courts. Developement and standardization of OP Services to include full Continuum/ levels of care and to increase extended engagement and recovery efforts in the Community by IHS staff

1) Maintain quality and continuity of OP substance use disorders programing including co-occurring disorder treatment
2) Oversee all staff operations
3) Direct recruitment, hiring and training of staff and coordination of hiring with OP Director for SUD Programming
4) Assure contract compliance and coordination with DMH rules and the regulations
5) Ensure program meets all certification requirements for the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, CARF or other accrediting agencies as required
6) Manage sub-contracts and referral arrangements and coordination with referrals in other community agencies.
7) Manage program development
8) Provide fiscal management and accountability
9) Participate in agency meetings as appropriate
10) Monitor staff attendance and compliance with rules and regulations of the organization
11) Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in mental health field and three (3) or more years experience in supervised experience in the treatment of adolescents. Licensed preferred. Specialized training in the treatment of substance use disorders and at least one (1) year supervisory experience. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.
