Job Description

The Director of Outpatient Services will supervise outpatient staff in Jefferson City, Boonville, Columbia and Fulton to ensure maintenance of utilization standard and quality of services.  Provide program oversight and development.
                                    
                                    
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    
1) Conduct weekly or monthly face to face supervision with staff and maintain appropriate supervisory documentation; one time weekly with unlicensed/probationary staff and one time monthly for licensed staff
2) Review records for completeness, accuracy, quality and any peer review issues
3) Participate in Utilization Review for productivity, length of stay (number of sessions), pattern of care, no show/cancellation rates, scheduling, specialized UR for managed care companies, as required, for assigned region
4) Coordinate with CPRC, ACI, TCM, Screening System, Residential Programs, ADA services, medical Services and Support Services
5) Coordinate with outside agencies/entities and contractual agencies as appropriate to assigned programs and duties
6) Conduct staff meetings monthly for overall agency communication and clinical consultation.  Meetings may include optional/mandatory trainings as needed
7) As assigned, assist with organization marketing for assigned areas with entities such as schools, DFAS, Juvenile Court, hospitals, Probation and Parole, judges and other referral sources
8) Conduct introductory period and annual performance reviews of assigned staff
9) Assist with coordination of regional ACI in conjunction with ACI Director
10) Attend monthly administrative and peer review team meetings
11) Abide by all professional, certification and corporate ethical standards                                    12) Other duties as assigned                                    
                                    
Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.                                    
 

Job Requirements

                                 
Master’s degree in human service related field and four (4) years experience in the mental health field with current Missouri licensure.  The required experience shall include a minimum of two (2) years supervisory.  Must demonstrate good working knowledge of clinical process. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:                                    
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
