Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:                                     
Assists in preparation of nutritional, attractive, appetizing meals and serves meals to patients and employees, according to established policy and procedures.                    
                                    
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                    
Is able to work within the facility as a team member and is flexible to meet the needs of the facility and the clients we are here to serve.


Performs job coaching functions for food service work in employment training.


Facilitates group or individual skill instruction as related to the food preparation for clients as assigned by the Recovery Team.


Writes legible, complete progress notes for client employees assigned for job coaching or skill coaching functions.


Prepares special items as requested for facility functions or program activities.


Maintains sanitary conditions in the kitchen by supervising and participating in the cleaning of work area and equipment.


Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:                                    
High School diploma or GED. Experience in quantity food production is desired but not required. Has a commitment to personal excellence and to service others. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:                                    
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
