Compensation: $74,235.20 annually

This position is responsible for the development, direction, and maintenance of the dental billing and reimbursement services for all dental operations, as well as provides ongoing support and resources for revenue generating departments in regard to client accounting and fiscal issues.  This position can be based out of any of our existing office locations, but regular travel is expected to Columbia and St. Peters to provide staff oversight and consultation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Oversees FQHC account receivable department and maximize the collection of FQHC payments and reimbursements from third party payers
• Supervises, trains, develops and evaluates performance over assigned personnel
• Maintains accounts receivable balances in accordance to industry standards
• Leads quality improvement efforts in conjunction with directors of revenue, compliance, clinical, financial and quality departments
• Monitors governmental and third-party reimbursement regulation changes and works with the Deputy Director of Revenue to ensure organizational compliance with payer regulations to enable the organization to prepare for reimbursement changes and to optimize payments as appropriate
• Provides reimbursement counsel to Compass Health managers that may, through their department operations, influence or affect reimbursements
• Works with the Deputy Director of Revenue to proactively evaluate strategies and processes to optimize, as appropriate, reimbursement from governmental and third-party payers
• Participates in various financial analysis projects for sound financial management
• Exemplifies excellent customer service relations with clients, visitors, clinicians and co-workers
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, health or public administration, management or related field

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (3) years management experience required
• Extensive knowledge of Word and spreadsheet (i.e. Excel) or word processing computer programs preferred
• Strong understanding of dental billing and credit collection procedures in FQHC settings preferred
