Compensation: $57,865.60

POSITION PURPOSE:                                                                                                        Responsible for the effective operation of the Medication clinics in the region assigned. Supervises outpatient nursing staff and provides program oversight and development for the nursing function in various sites throughout the assigned region. Works in conjunction with Residential Directors to provide nursing supervision and guidance.

                                                                                                              QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                       Registered Nurse with experience in mental health desired and a year of management experience preferred. Has a commitment to service and personal excellence. Is team oriented and values diversity.                                                                    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                               

1. Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices.

  1. Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to office nurses and residential nurses,

    as assigned.

  1. Serves as a resource person to community nurses, medical staff, and other

    related professional staff in the provision of patient treatment plans.

  1. Selects applicants for interviews and keeps open position filled in a timely manner.
  2. Provides orientation to new office and residential nurses.
  3. Works with Residential Director to identify and provide ongoing education to

    nursing staff.

  1. Completes performance evaluations in accordance with organizational protocol.
  2. Provides coverage in assigned regional outpatient clinics, as necessary.
  3. Coordinates metabolic screening initiative for patients in assigned region.
  4. Communicates client disease management needs to Healthcare Home

    Managers and staff.

  1. Ensures availability and operation of necessary equipment and supplies for client care.
  2. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Insure appropriate documentation and billing of appropriate services.
  4. Follow professional and corporate ethical standards.

15.Adheres to Nurse Practice Act and ensures nurses, under supervision, practice within their scope of practice

  1. Other duties as assigned.                                                                                                                    

Driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during the course of employment.                                                                              

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:                                                                                                  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
