Compensation: $19.97 hourly

The Psychiatry Services Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer of Psychiatry Services and provide direction to the medical staff in various situations.  Primarily day hours, Monday-Friday, with flexibility in those hours, as needed.  Day travel required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Provides primary management and oversight of the psychiatry onboarding process, including but not limited to credentialing, privileging and licensing and provide training, site visits and various support. Interfaces with the credentialing and billing/finance department to ensure all new hires are submitting needed documentation to complete timely credentialing and privileging process
• Provides tracking and administrative support to DCCO and EVP in managing provider contracting process and submitting necessary documentation to HR and payroll departments regarding compensation changes. Manages compensation worksheets that track overall compensation and benefits of the psychiatry team. Ensures that the information in Kronos related to the psychiatry team is current
• Ensures that all providers are current and in compliance to all licensing and regulatory standards as practicing physicians and practitioners. Assist practitioners with completing and maintaining current license, DEA and BNDD certifications
• Participates with DCCO to Interview and select Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner candidates
• Provides management and oversight of the academic clinical training programs that are associated with the psychiatry department; this includes working closely with all appointed training directors and providing administrative support and communication with the academic training programs. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling changes needed for preceptorships and residency/fellow supervision. Participates as a member of the Research and Education Committee
• Works closely with DCCO in overall management and implementation of psychiatric provider schedules and communicates those schedules to scheduling and clinic leadership. This includes working with externally contracted entities
• Provides administrative oversight and support for various organizational meetings and committees, chaired by the senior VP, Chief of Psychiatry Services and workgroups assigned by the DCCO
• Provides management and oversight of the peer review process for the outpatient psychiatry team and compiles and distributes individual report cards and calculates overall results
• Works closely with the finance department in preparing cost allocation and breakdown information of physician and practitioner compensation for cost report tracking purposes
• Is responsible for the tracking and notification for physician absences, meetings, or schedule changes
• Serves as point of contact with the IT department, procurement department and various other departments
• Provides management and oversights of the tracking and monitoring of prescriber expenses leave allowances
• Works closely with DCCO in ensuring that departmental policies and procedures stay in compliance to all regulatory and accrediting standards
• Learns computer applications essential to job responsibilities including various report management
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

• A four (4) year combination of higher education and experience in a medical setting required if high school/GED is the highest degree obtained
• Above average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications preferred
