Job Description

Compensation: $59,009.60 annually

Assist with the research and preparation of grant and contract applications which further the mission of Compass Health, and its’ subsidiaries. Further duties will include the review of grants and contracts prior to their submission, interaction with the senior management and executive team regarding funding opportunities related to organizational programming. Additional duties will include the attendance at foundation and community meetings/forums discussing funding opportunities and assistance in the development of press releases for recently awarded grants/contracts. Position will facilitate program development activities between Compass Health and outside organizational partners that address both community-based needs and the programming requirements of funding sources. Make presentations to community-based funding sources if required.

*This is a hybrid position. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Provide research and writing support for various funding opportunities for Compass Health and its subsidiaries
• Work closely with the Vice President of Development and other members of the senior management/executive team to research, acquire and develop funding and other opportunities
• Represent the organization(s) at State of Missouri pre-proposal meetings and area foundation meetings regarding grant/contract opportunities
• Assist in the initial implementation of new programs, as needed, directly related to assurance in meeting grant or contractual requirements
• Attend required development staff meetings to provide input on department direction as well as provide update of current work-in-progress
• Assists with the preparation and writing of press releases of recently awarded grants and contracts
• Attend all trainings as required by Compass Health, Accreditors and Funders
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, or healthcare related field


• Excellent Communication, writing, and computer skills
• Comprehensive reading skills, demonstrated proficiency in English language and grammar
• Broad knowledge and experience with computers and Microsoft Office required
• Relevant or comparable experience can serve in place of education requirements
