Job Description

Compensation: $36.76/hourly

Database Report Writer/Analyst is responsible for generating and compiling database reports, analyzing data for accuracy/inaccuracies. The Database Report Writer/Analyst’s primary role is to create reports as requested by various departments across the organization. The individual will have proven knowledge of EHR applications and use proven knowledge of specialized reporting tools to create/develop reports as required. Ideal candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work in a team environment and possess the ability to meet deadlines.

This is a full-time, remote position open to residents of the state of Missouri. NextGen EHR Experience, C# Experience, Experience with SSIS and SSRS preferred.


  • Responsible for generating daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
  • Responsible for designing and developing new reports (ad hoc) as requested
  • Responsible for modifying existing reports, testing reports for accuracy and enhancing reports as necessary
  • Responsible for deploying reports
  • Responsible for assisting with EHR application including answering help desk tickets as time allows
  • Assist VP of HIM in data reporting projects as necessary
  • Attend meetings and workshops as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

High School/GED required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • At least three (3) years’ experience using SQL to query complex relational databases and validate reporting results required
  • At least three (3) years’ experience with various computer software and Enterprise Health Record applications preferred
  • At least three (3) years’ experience using Crystal Reports preferred
  • Possess the ability to determine the level of effort to accomplish requested tasks
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the challenges and reporting needs of the organization
